Terms of use

The rules for using Lambbi: the Kreyòl assistant for businesses, the Studio and the API routes.

Last updated October 30, 2026

Draft: the details in [brackets] are filled in before launch.

1. About these terms

Lambbi is operated by [Company name] ("we", "us"). These terms apply to the website, the dashboard, the assistants and their widgets, the Studio and the API routes described in the documentation (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.

If you use the Service for a business or organization, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to do so.

2. The Service

  • The assistant: a business creates an assistant, teaches it about its business and places it on its website or shares its link. Visitors talk or type to it in Haitian Creole, and it answers out loud and in writing.
  • The dashboard: where the business manages its assistants, reads their conversations, receives alerts and adds credit.
  • The Studio and the API routes: Kreyòl text to speech (Fatiman-TTS v1, v2 and V3) and speech to text (Oswald-ASR-0.6-V3). The Studio requires a Lambbi account. The API routes are open to account holders through API keys made and revoked in the dashboard; keep your keys secret, as everything done with them is charged to your account.

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted. We may change, limit, suspend or end the Service, or any part of it. If we end the assistant service, we will give reasonable notice and refund unused credit.

3. Your account

You sign in with a one-time code that Bird sends to your email address, or to your phone by WhatsApp or SMS, or with Google. Signing in for the first time creates your account. You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. Keep access to your email and phone secure: anyone who can read your codes can use your account.

You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at [contact email] if you believe someone else has used it.

4. Prices, credit and payment

The Service is paid for in credits: 1 credit equals 1 minute and costs 2 HTG. The assistant uses 1 credit per minute of conversation, at the same price whether it uses the AI included with Lambbi or your own OpenAI or DeepSeek key. The Studio and the API use 1 credit per minute of audio, counted by the second: the audio made for text to speech, the audio heard for speech to text; a request that fails is not charged. Each account gets 5 free minutes every month, shared by the assistants, the Studio and the API, renewed on the 1st of the month (Haiti time). The prices in force are those shown on the pricing page.

A conversation is counted from the moment a visitor starts it until it ends, and is charged once, when it ends: first from your free minutes, then from your credit. Your own tests in the dashboard's preview are not charged.

Credit is prepaid at 2 HTG per credit, in packs of 50, 100, 250 or 500 credits or any amount up to 25 000 credits: in Haitian gourdes through MonCash, from 25 credits; or by card in US dollars through Stripe, from 50 credits ($0.77), at the dollar price shown before you pay (today about $0.015 a credit). Your bank may add its own fees to a payment in dollars. Credit is added once MonCash or Stripe confirms the payment. When your free minutes and credit run out, your assistants stop taking new conversations, and the Studio and the API refuse new requests, until you add credit.

Credit does not expire while your account is open. Credit is not refundable, except where the law requires it or as stated in section 2. If we change our prices, we will announce it on the pricing page and by email before the new prices apply; conversations already started keep the price they started at.

When you use your own OpenAI or DeepSeek key, that provider bills you directly for its use under its own terms. We are not responsible for those charges.

5. Your assistant and its content

You are responsible for what you teach your assistant (knowledge, greeting, instructions, logo) and for the websites and links where you place it. You must have the right to use that content, and it must be accurate and lawful.

Your assistant answers from what you teach it, but its answers are generated automatically and can be wrong. Check its conversations regularly, correct its knowledge when needed, and do not let it make promises your business would not keep. You remain responsible toward your customers for the information and commitments of your business.

Visitors who talk to your assistant are your customers. You are responsible for telling them, in your own privacy notice, that you use an assistant provided by Lambbi and what happens to their conversations (see our Privacy Policy, section 4). You must not use the assistant to collect sensitive data such as health, payment card or identity document details.

You may restrict your assistant to your own websites. If you leave the list of websites empty or turn on the public link, anyone who has the line of code or the link can talk to your assistant, and the minutes are charged to your account.

6. Your content and our use of it

You keep whatever rights you have in the content you add and in the conversations of your assistants. You give us the permission we need to host, process and display that content in order to provide the Service to you.

We use your content only to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use it to train our models.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • impersonate a real person, or make audio that falsely appears to be a real person's recording;
  • present your assistant as a human being when a visitor sincerely asks whether they are talking to a person;
  • deceive, defraud or scam anyone, including through voice phishing or fake announcements;
  • harass, threaten, defame or spread hatred against anyone;
  • create sexual content involving minors, or any content that is illegal where you or your visitors are;
  • transcribe recordings made or shared unlawfully;
  • get around the limits, overload the Service, scrape it, or resell access to it without our written agreement;
  • attack, probe or disrupt the Service or the systems it runs on.

The Voice & Consent Policy is part of these terms.

8. Alerts

Lambbi can tag conversations (for example an order, a complaint or a request to be called back) and send you an alert by email or WhatsApp. Tags are suggestions made automatically and can be wrong or missing; they do not replace reading your conversations. Only enter email addresses and WhatsApp numbers that you are allowed to use for these alerts.

9. Synthetic audio and accuracy

The voices of the Service are synthetic. Machine speech recognition and generated answers make mistakes: Oswald misreads around one word in ten on our test set, and the voices sometimes mispronounce. Do not rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial, emergency or other important decisions without a person checking the result.

10. Open models and their licenses

The weights of the first models are published separately on Hugging Face: Fatiman-TTS-v1 under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) and Oswald-ASR-0.6-V1 under the Apache License 2.0. The newer models the Service runs (Fatiman v2 and V3, Oswald-ASR-0.6-V3) are not published. If you download and run them yourself, those licenses apply, not these terms. These terms cover only the Service we run.

When you publish audio made with the Studio, we ask that you credit "Fatiman-TTS".

11. Providers

The Service relies on providers, listed in the Privacy Policy, for hosting, calls, speech processing, generated answers, tagging, messages and payments. Their outages can affect the Service. We choose them carefully but are not responsible for services they run under their own terms, such as MonCash or Stripe payments or your own AI provider's account.

12. No warranty

Apart from what these terms expressly promise, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted operation, to the extent the law allows.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, sales, data or reputation, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

14. Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use the Service and what you do with its results. If your use breaks these terms or the law and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover the resulting losses, to the extent the law allows.

15. Suspension and closing your account

We may block or limit access, without notice, to anyone who breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts the Service or other people at risk. Where possible, we will tell you why.

You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete an assistant, with its knowledge and conversations, from its settings. You can delete your whole account at any time from the Account page of your dashboard.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes, we will tell account holders by email before they apply. If you keep using the Service after a change, the new terms apply.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Haiti. Disputes go to the competent courts of [city, e.g. Port-au-Prince], unless mandatory law gives you the right to go to the courts where you live.

18. Languages

These terms are published in English, Spanish, French and Haitian Creole. The translations are provided for convenience; if they differ, the English version prevails, unless the law requires otherwise.
